*Senior Device Engineer*
A well-funded deep-tech semiconductor company with long-term customers is seeking a Senior Device Engineer
to lead the design, modeling, and architecture of novel high-power and high-frequency transistor devices.
The role combines deep understanding of device physics with hands‑on experience in simulation, device design, and analysis of fabricated structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop physical models and perform simulations to predict device behavior based on geometry, materials, and process constraints.
- Design and optimize transistor structures (FET / TFT / MOSFET or similar) to meet performance and application requirements.
- Define and execute electrical characterization of fabricated devices (DC, pulse, CV, breakdown).
- Analyze measurement data, extract key parameters, and correlate results with simulations.
- Work closely with fabrication, process, and test teams to refine device architecture and improve performance.
- Provide technical leadership in device development and contribute to overall product architecture.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in semiconductor device design, modeling, or characterization.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics.
- Hands‑on experience with device simulation tools (TCAD, COMSOL, Sentaurus, or similar).
- Experience designing and analyzing transistor structures.
- Familiarity with microfabrication processes and device layout constraints.
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high‑power or high‑frequency devices.
- Experience with wide‑bandgap materials (GaN, SiC, metal oxides).
- Experience with SOI or advanced device architectures.
- Cleanroom or process integration experience.
- Experience with compact modeling or circuit‑level interpretation of device behavior.
Reports to: Head of R&D
Location: Binyamina, Israel (conveniently close to the train station).
